Weddings – how many songs do I need for the wedding ceremony?

There is no single right answer to this, as wedding ceremonies can be very different depending on the number of in the wedding party, and your personal preferences. We’ll adjust the length of the song as needed, but it’s best if we have at least 30 seconds for each song. Here are some basic guidelines:

Prelude:
We will play approximately 15 minutes of appropriate traditional and island music.
Processional:
One song for groom, officiant, groomsmen, and family members
One song for bridesmaids, ring bearer, flower girl
One song for the bride
One song for candle or sand ceremony
Recessional:
One song for the bride and groom’s walk down the aisle
Postlude: We will play more lively up-tempo music. If we are performing at the cocktail hour, we will just play a song or two before we move our equipment. If we are playing the ceremony only, we will play while photos are taken, and your guests mingle.
